About these pages

These pages are tested with Netscape 4.6, Internet Explorer 5.0 and Mosaic 2.11. These all give a good result. You can douwnload Mosaic 2.11 (1.8 MB) here.

Version 1.0
This was the first version of my homepage and is dated 12 march 1997. The size is about 2.5 MB while the allowed size is 5 MB so there is still room to expand and this will certainly happen.

Version 1.1 (25 April 1997).
A lot of cleanup has been done to the html. Besides that there is a new page on search engines. Furthermore there is a picture of the motherboard in my computer (under: Who am I?).

Version 1.2 (18 May 1997).
Again cleanup has been done to the html. This is the first version that uses frames. These are used for the photo galery. The page about electronics is moved to the photo galery and also there is a new session about our trip to Disneyland Paris. New in "People on the internet who I know" is Roland Graves. This time all the updates and extensions are done with Webber. The size of the homepage is now about 4.3 MB in 170 files.

Version 1.3 (23 June 1997).
Nothing new this time or it has time or it has to be a picture of myself on the "Who am I?" page. This time a number of pages are moved to the framed pages.

Version 1.4 (31-August 1997).
This time new: an article about the reunion of Willem and Lolkje.
Besides that a lot is changed to the page about search engines and the page Links to favorite sites is extended.

Version 1.5 (9 November 1997).
This time not much changes to the contents but the looks of the frames pages. Frames are not nested anymore and the contents is loaded by means of JavaScript.

Version 1.6 (24 November 1997).
An update of the page "Who am I?" and the page about running has new pictures and the layout is reviewed. The score: 165 gif and jpg files making a total of 4.63 MB and 256 KB htm files.

Version 1.8 (24 January 1998).
For version 1.7 there were no changes to the English site. For version 1.8 there is a new frontpage for the English site and the layout for the photo galery is slightly changed. Four search engines are added. Also some errors were removed from the html.

Version 1.9 (23 February 1998).
Added the "Search this site page" including changes necessary for the photo galery.

Version 1.10 (18 April 1998).
Added the Guestbook and some cleanup, enhancements are made to the home page.

Version 1.11 (3 July 1998).
Added links to "search this site" (Cities) and added a number of internet friends.

Version 1.12 (21 September 1998).
Added a page about music from the internet (MP3 players).

Version 1.13 (28 December 1998).
The local search engine database can now be searched from within the links page. Link titles are added to the database.

Version 2.0 (26 January 1999).
The homepage is divided up into directories and at the same time moved to WorldAccess

Version 2.1 (5 May 1999).
Added is a page about Het Woldhuis (Dutch only) and the ICQ contact is integrated, see previous page.

Version 2.2 (9 October 1999).
Added are pictures of skiing (28-06-99). The MP3 page is updated. There are a lot of new links for electronics suppliers. Furthermore all links for cities and digital cities are verified.

Version 2.3 (17 October 1999).
The use of Cascading Styles Sheets with HTML 4.0 is introduced. The index with all pages is deleted. Added the faq page. There are less steps to go to the guestbook and I felt it in place to add comments to entries in the guestbook.

Versie 2.4 (29 January 2000).
Because I have a new computer the page "Who am I" is updated.
The JavaScript in the links pages is optimized. And the pictures of Disneyland Paris are now in jpg instead of gif.

Versie 3.0 (1 June 2000).
A new layout, above a fixed bar, left a changing frame with links. One directory per button on the buttonbar.

Versie 3.1 (2 September 2000).
This time not so much new content except for the search engine. Furthermore a lot is improved / corrected on the JavaScript and most should work correctly now. Jump in frame feature is added.

Versie 3.2 (24 December 2004).
Pictures of the vacation to Menorca are now all commented. The "Who am I?" page is updated to reflect the changed computer configuration.

Versie 3.5 (16 februari 2002).
The JavaScript engine for loading the pages and creating the site map is completely rewritten and also implemented for the English site and should be quite bugfree now.
Furthermore the homepage is adapted for use with Netscape and a number of changes are done to access the site via the new link http://www.semplonius.info.

Versie 3.6 (16 februari 2002).
The status of the homepage before the transfer from d-hosting to digipark. A lot of php is added, amougst others the automatic choosing of the language by the configuration of the browser.

Versie 4.0 (7 july 2023).
After almost 20 years there is a new version. In comparison with the previous version the photo galery is extended with amougst others the ski holidays to Mittersill and the trip to Israel in 2019.
Furthermore there a login possibility. The size of v3.6 was 29 MB and this one is 4.2 GB with 7670 files.
