Setting Up Netscape and WinPlay3 To Play Streams

(this assumes that WinPlay3 is already installed)

1. Click on a link to any stream
2. Netscape will prompt "Unknown File Type."  (audio/x-mpegurl) Click "Pick App..."
3. Browse to Winplay3.exe. Click open, but don't click OK yet.
4. You should be in a window entitled "Configure External Viewer." The text field should contain the path and filename of WinPlay3. Click to place the cursor at the end of the text field. Type a space, a forward slash, and a lower-case l as in location.
5. Now you can hit OK!

Restated: For the MIME type audio/x-mpegurl, and extensions .mp3url and .m3u, launch WinPlay3 with the switch '/l', in which l is for location.
